Vermin vs Varmint Hunting

It is just another form of words rather like `bullet heads, missiles or projectiles`.
For example my firearms dealers refer to these as `heads` and my Police firearms department call them `missiles`.
Frankly I care not, providing the relevant people know what I require.

It s an American term which has invaded our vocabulary.

To me its kind of a range thing. Vermin - just general rounding up of rabbits, crows, magpies etc with a shotgun or .22LR. Varminting - shooting vermin at a decent range with a centrefire or small calibre fast rifle. But that's just me and probably influenced by the American 'Vaminting' videos and websites.
