Thread: Any suggestions - I think I have broke my bi-pod sticks

    Any suggestions - I think I have broke my bi-pod sticks

    ....I have the extendable sticks and when I was tightening one of them up I overtightened it and it suddenly went loose and now it just detaches completely.....is it gubbed or is there something I can do to fix it?

    Hi Dave this happend to me all i did was to put super glue around the plastic gromet bit then tighten them up it means that you have to leave them at the hight you require but it works

    I set mine to the required height and just drilled and bolted the legs In place

    Use cheap electrical tape. Open them to the length and then wind some around the joint. Cheaper than a new pair and solid enough. (I can't take credit for the idea - that tip was from watching an AW do it with his).

    Thanks for the replys, I have basically written it them off and used the rubber feet and foam grips and put them on my tripod sticks (B&Q garden cane variety!)....so not a great loss really.

    You cheap skate I thought the super glue idea would of appealed to you

    Nah, I think I have a spare mod cover in the boot of my car that I can swap for a new pair

    Those sticks you had must of been cheap then
    the mod cover was only £10 ,did you get the parcel I sent you?
