    Hi ive been asked to go to inverness stalking this coming weekend whats the best way to deal with the midges .thanks

    Cover up!
    Get a proper midge headnet and wear gloves too!

    Don't go,the midges are already waiting for your lovely warm english blood,only joking avon so soft and face veil are essential as are gloves.

    Avon sss or anything with deet in it boots do a spray that gives 10hrs protection , spray that then a face viel should be ok
    BE PREPARED IT WASNT RAINING WHEN THEY BUILT THE ARC

    As the lads say above keep it covered; gloves, headnet, skin so soft, antihistamine. If damp and still getting on the move helps. the dog can sit 100m away and tough it out on his own.

    If its as cold as this morning or last Sunday morning the midges will have all died off with frost-bite!!! It feels like 2 months further on with the seasons.

    When you come up buy some smidge it is the dogs balls. Check there web site

    Never seen that one before. Have you tried it? Personally I use Mossiguard and it always works for me. I'm one of the lucky ones that does not react in any way to midge bites other than the wee red mark, unlike my father who gets a swelling where bitten.

    Avon Skin So Soft has never worked for me...
