    aye well laddies an lassies fantastic grouse.....

    weel up on gaick we are doin jist nae bad got started at 11 am shot till 4,30 with a 40 min break for g&tssss,and shot 70 brace.488 shots......mmwe have one or two grouse.....but hey we are a hind forest,,,,ha,ha.good times.....

    3.49 shots per bird!! sounds like a bit of pre season practice wouldn't go a miss!!

    Name and shame the team..... I would love to shoot 3.5 to 1 without practise after climbing those hills.

    Reminds me of a joke a soldier told me - "These hills are so steep they should be wallpapered!"

    Driven numbers but a walked up ratio.

    A good bag that.

    You only do walked up dont you? Or did you give some driven a try this year?

    Grouse

    When I was a keeper over in Morayshire - 3.5 - 1 kill ratio was very good! Grouse are tricky shots and can catch out even the very best shots. Excellent bag that. The best I ever got for a walk up day was 47 1/2 brace for seven guns - happy days, good tip and many, many drams! hic,
