    rimfire moderator

i always use high or hyper velocity ammo in my rimfire.
the problem is, the standard rimfire mods are useless, unless the ammo is subsonic.
is there a centrefire moderator that would work on a .22 rimmy.
    thanks in advance, mark.

    Hi

Give Adenbourne guns a ring near oxford 01993-701 122 and speak to Bruce. He sold me a new mod for my .17hmr a while back, can t remember the name but it really is a great mod...think it cost about 49 quid, slim , looks the part and is superb compared to the like of SAK which I was using before. They also do a .22 version which Im sure will be even quiter than the .17 version

Any decent rimfire mod will quiet it down, but no matter how good it will still be loud compared to subs.
A Sac at 35 is as good as you will get at the sub 100 price bracket and that works well enough on a .22 hornet.

I use a PES T12 overbarrel on all the barrels on my rimfire Sako Quad. significantly quieter than a Parker Hale, a SAK and one other I tried out.

    not cheap though!

Ahh me luvley T12 get a mention, I have them on both .223 and 6.5, but like you say expensive...I am going to have to try and find out what the Mod I have on my .17 HMR is as it was much better than the SAK and got better as it got a bit of fouling crud in it.

Why would anybody put a Pess T12 on a rimfire
The bloody thing is as heavy as a box full of Sacs and a months HMR ammo.
If you want it quieter use subs.
