    RWS DK Bullets

Does anyone have any experience of these.
Ive got about 100 in 123gr for the 7-08
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy!
    Another 7mm08 shooter!

    They look like this:

Good bullets, and with 123gn you should get big velocity and flat shooting.

I though I had KS in 270 but it appears I had DK.
the double groove gave it away.

personally I didnt like them, never seen them react to impact the way they describe in the picture and they had a habit of travelling dreadfully through the carcase, not in the direction they were fired. I descirbed it on another thread

may just have been a bad personal experience

    I'm puzzled.

The 123gr 7mm in their catalogue is a KS. The only 7mm DK they seem to list is a 154gr. They do not list any .270 DK, but they do list a 150gr KS.

The bullet in bk's photograph looks to me like a KS, because despite the presence of the second groove, both grooves look the same.

On the DKs 6.5mm (140gr) I have, the forward groove is nearer the front and is clearly a place where you can see the forward jacket fitting into the rear one: i.e. the two grooves do not look the same.

As I understand it, a light-for-calibre DK such as 127gr in a 7mm might not be in the spirit of the purpose of a DK, which is reliably to provide an exit wound by ensuring that half the bullet holds together and comes out even of a large beast.

I might be completley mistaken, however - the current list might be misleading if these bullets are older.
    What do you think?

    now I am confused!

just found one I pulled for reference. 270 150gn (must be KS as they dont list the DK for 270) still didnt like them!

click on "impact" on the bullet description page.
nice little video which is interesting if you compare their different bullet range

the evo bullet they list slows down dramatically as it passes through the ballistic gel.

I used them in 6.5 at 140gr. Great round for chest shots but not for neck. Not too hard on meat damage either.
