I can back this up. Was there when he was exposed to his first roe and when being trained on both old and fresh skin trails. Very well behaved and good natured for such a young dog. I trailed a fresh skin all over the landscape (he was in the landy) the little bugger must have scented it after 20 yards and went straight across the field to it without following a trail. Exactly what you need. Not fully trained but well on his way.

I thought I would add a bit about he's training to date
He was started off on a fur skin covered in roe blood & a trail laiyed for him to follew a bit liver to help him on his way lol After a few times on to the next bit
then a roe skin was dragged around a field so he could pull & tug at it After a few times on to the next bit
nexted a skin was dragged up a field while he was in the land rover & some liver again was placed along the trail. He was started off to find it After a few times on to the next bit
Then I moved on to a Roe carcis shot with head & legs & gut out around a field & he was sent to find it After a few times on to the next bit
Then My mate & I shot a Roe & when back to the landy before we did anything to it & got him out went back to were the shot was fired & started him working the ground towards the died roe & he found that to.
& he has found 5 shot ones to date
The last one is how my mate (I say mate lossly ) we shot one he found it put him in landy skined it & the matey dragged it acros field & he found that to

I just thought I would add this pic off his first find
    thank you for reading it

At 9 mnths old and with already having the basics it wouldnt be hard to have it on game too.

    Clever little dogs these.
There is a place on this planet for all of God's creatures, right next to my tatties and gravy!!!

He will still be capable of and willing to learn at 6 or 7 - years - so nine months is nothing at all. I agree with Dan. They are clever.

How do I know? (See my avatar - yes, that's a Brittany pointing partridge.) He is the third we have had.

    Thanks for the replys
They are a clever little bread bit soft for me & the blood lines are outstanding
He never gose more that 20 yards in front off me so training him for game will not take much doing lol His sister is alreading beening trained for deer & then birds for next season at the moment & both his parents work on a shoot. I got him for deer but he is still young & He just wants to please.

I can help finsh his training off I don't mind showing someone
