    .22/250 Twist Rate

Iv'e got a Winchester 70 coyote light in .22/250 with what i believe to be a 1/10 twist rate !? Was wondering if the Hornady 50 g SPSX head could cope with this ?? Thank's..

I don't know why you think your model has a non-standard twist rate.

The Winchester website shows it to be the usual 1 in 14" but I suppose that MIGHT be wrong. Even if it was 1 in 10" it's not likely to change what you would fire through a light sporter.... so don't fret.

my mate has a Remington 22/250 26'' heavy barrel 1/14 twist he uses 55grn sierra game kings no probs foxes & roe
the Winchester super shadow 22/250 on winchester site is 1/12 and 70 coyote light is 1/14 if that being the case it should do OK. hope this helps.

I have had quite a few 22/250's with 1 in 14" twists that I used 50gn sxsp in no probs, Then i got a 1 in 12" twist one and it broke them up before theyd gone a few yards, so unless youre going to push em slow in a 1 in 10" I think you will have problems.

    if you have a 1 in 10 try a 60 grain vmax
