Something A Little Different On Last Nights Lamping Trip

I went out last night and managed to bag another 4 foxes (19 in total since August).

Then just as we had nearly finished my mate thought he had spotted another one but it soon became clear that it was a mink, that did not want to stand still. The first shot was just in front of his nose, he then turned to run away from me which was a big mistake as the second bullet connected and stopped him in his tracks (Which was on his way to the main pheasant pen - could of been messy)

I have seen a few over the last few years while out lamping but this is the first one I have shot

If it would have stood still last night Si I would have shot it through the tick on its side

Yes you are right you were very lucky the bullet did not ricochet off the wire. Good shooters make sure it safe before thy squeese the trigger

Thanks for that John, its a shame I am not as good a shooter as Martyn52 as he clearly knows the lay of the land making a stupid comment like that.
