    Landrover 90 GONE !!

Just had a call from a foxing mate of mine hes had his defender stolen .

The boys have found the body pannels at the local scrap yard .

Dont laff but he is also a keen tap dancer and his best tap shoes were in it along with a lot of electricians tools . plod have asked him to keep a look out for the alloys and tyres (flea bay ).

However the most distinguishable thing on it was a full length roof rack with a upstand covered in pipe insulation and a cut out over the middle seat / sunroof .

If any one is offered one like it please check the seller is gen .
BE PREPARED IT WASNT RAINING WHEN THEY BUILT THE ARC

Am sorry to hear this but let's face it theft is sky rocketing in the UK.. Only the other week the neighbour had here mowers etc nicked the forced off the padlock hasp. then yesterday she told us the Riding stables where she does a bit of judging and her daughter worked until the other month was done over. they cased the place and knew how to avoid the camera and cleared all the tack including specialist dressage sadles and harness.

Due to a body being found in the front garden in Boston with a stab wound the Polcie were stopping vehicles to ask question and stopped a car with three blokes in is and low and behold they noticed a couple of horse blankets with teh name "Sheepgate" embroidered on them.. So searched the car and found not only them but the keys tot he place. Seems they must have nicked the keys during a show at "Sheepgate" earlier in the day they cleared the place out.. Well planned but caught out by sheer luck.

The chap who does garden work from the village, well his neighbour had a small trailer nicked the other week it just goes on and on yet what do the Police do? Hmmmm

Hope they catch them but let's face it the chances are slim to nowt that they will. I bet your mate is fit though. Dancing take energy and fitness.

Not to get on a soap box, but BH is right, there seems to be a significant misallocation of resources in the UK at present. Just locally, the Edinburgh tram, Holyrood, a new Forth Road Bridge, yet Edinburgh residents pay 200+/month council tax, and up to 400pa in parking permit per car, just for the street!, etc. etc. etc. police are no where to be seen, crime is going up, eastern european immigration is sky rocketing, prostitution, gangs and drug-related crime is flourishing, etc. etc.

BBC news online has at least 2-3 stories a day about murders, double or triple homicides, gang shootings in North or South East London, etc. etc.

There are reductions in NHS budgets, lack of governance, yet people are abusing the benefits system left right and centre. Policians and MP's along with other public service sector employees in higher positions are getting insane pension contributions, yet, the average worker is made redundant.

inflation has just been announced at 4.5% with CPI at 5.2% on a 0.5% Base rate, but the BOE expects inflation to be well below 2% next year - what dross...just look at energy prices, train ticket costs, the councils ripping us off, cost of insurance going up 40%, petrol prices, the notion that you need perfect credit and 25% deposit on a 2 bedroom flat at 500,000 in any major city is just ludicrous.

Oh, and on that note, with all this crime and hyper price inflation going on, there are still excessive resources allocated to ensuring random Bob the farmer doesn't manage to get his hands on two similar calibres for his vermin control! oh dear, just imagine...

I see a big shake-up coming down the tracks, massive inflation, big hikes in interest rates, variable rate mortgages re-mortgaging on costs that are unpayable and property prices bottoming out like the early '90's.

....where's the emoticon for stepping off a soap box?

Round like a shot... Going to bed the other night, I noticed people in my shed stealing things. I phoned the police but was told there was no one in the area to help. The policeman said they would send someone over as soon as possible. I hung up.
A minute later I rang again. 'Hello', I said, 'I called you a minute ago because there were people in my shed. You don't have to hurry now, because I've shot them.' Within five minutes there were half a dozen police cars in the area, plus helicopters and an armed response unit. They caught the burglars red-handed.
One of the officers said: 'I thought you said you'd shot them.' To which I replied: 'I thought you said there was no one available.'

The environmental health office and me caught young guys shooting seagulls on the local tip. One got away but we held the other one. (name known to us). Police were called. Half an hour later we let him go worried about holding a minor. That was Friday afternoon. The police arrived on Tuesday. Jim

Ahhh you forgott hat inflation is now quoted as monthly where as it used to be yearly. They smugly say that inflation is 2.3% this month Bull!

They forget that it also went up 3% last month and the month before that. So yearly inflation is way over 50% when you compound it. yet we are supposed to be too dumb to work it out.

They really do think we are Mushrooms.............................. to be kept in the dark abd fed Bull***t.

They really have no inteention on reducing crime as it's a multi Billion pund business. No crime not:-

    Security firms
    Alarm systems
    Control /monitoring rooms
Security products like locks and tags
CCTV so they can watch us all the time

Also without the fear of crime from the public most of the Government and Police actions would not be tolerated. Nope crime makes money for the establishment so they have no interest in reducing it at all.
