Which choke would you use for decoying with a semi-auto?

I have been using an improved cylinder in my SX3 for decoyed pigeons and although I got on well with it I was wondering what other people would use - Hence this poll!

Burrard, thart makes me old, reckons pattern fails first so a nice open choke will do a better job than many people think. I'm probably not bright enough to have a reliable opinion of my own.

It all depends on how capable a shot you are .if you restrict your shooting to your kill zone over your decoys then open choke probably be the best, but if your cabable of also taking out the 60 yard crossers then you'd be better with three quarter.

I saw this quote and thought that there is a lot of truth in it for the average shooter

"Choke is a solution to a problem most of us don't have" - Bill Harriman BASC

Unless as the laird says your capable of very long shots.

Personally I use Skeet and 1/4 in my O/U (need all the help I can get)

I use whatever beretta gave me as their standard from the factory, couldn't tell you what it is, but is seems to drop whatever I shoot at out to 40-50yds no problem

most shells are loaded with a plastic shot cup so that alters your choke , in short if you can shoot choke makes no difference

I agree with this very much, I've shot, picked up, borrowed a vast variety of old and new shotguns over the years, arguably with a range of chokes,,,but to be honest, I've shot pretty much equally well with them all..
