PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or People Eating Tasty Animals) have launched a case in the federal court looking to extend constitutional rights to animals!

In effect they are seeking to extend the protection of 13th Amendment to the Constitution, which is a ban on slavery, to five killer whales which are being kept in captivity.
My guess is that they have forgotten the opening words of the constitution which are "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility blah de blah de blah"
Now why is this of interest to us?
Well it could set a very dangerous president, just imagine if animals are found to have rights under the 13th Amendment then the floodgates will be open, all of America's wildlife will be demanding their rights under the 2nd Amendment and should they be granted, I for one do not want to go out hunting for armed deer
