Credition Golf Course and surrounding area near EXETER

    Hi all,

I have just recently acquired permission to shoot over Credition Golf Course near Exeter. I'm just curious to know if any other shooters from around the area shoot out there as the police have informed me that others have had permission there in the past but never keep up the shooting? I have not seen any other shooters to date over the land. I believe the police are now in the process of locking the course down to just a few shooters due to safety issues. I'm kind of hoping myself and my father n 'law will be the only shooters over the land from now on.

I would love to hear from SD users on here that shoot in or around Credition? I'm just looking at other options in the area (socialising, sharing land, etc).

    Regards

    Carl.

Hi, i know of a friend (not naming anyone) that shoots over the golf course and to be honest i dont suppose the police know of half the people that shoot there as they (the club) freely let anyone go there to try and shoot the Rabbits.

Is it for vermin and deer?
Some places will let anyone and everyone on their land, as long as the vermin numbers are kept down they don`t care. Can`t the club give you any idea about who shoots there?
If not then they`re obviously not bothered.
If three people has an open license for say a .22 rimfire how can the law decide who shoots where?
The safety issues are down to you and anyone else who shoots there.

The police have visited the club recently and removed everyone that is no longer shooting there. I beleive its just myself and my partner on the books now as we visit the quarry nearly every day. Commitment is the name of the game here! The local field officer spoke to me recently and said she was concerned about the number of people using the land to acquire certificates but no longer show any presents there. This is true as i have been there since the summer and have seen no other shooters.
