my duck hunt did not happen due to car trouble !

Saw a couple small bucks but unfortunately they were too small to shoot. The hunting lease I joined has a minimum of 8 points on the antlers or 2.5 years old. Anything less is violation of the club's rules.

    Antler restrictions !

I like antler restrictions in private hunting clubs cause it allows the small bucks to grow. This is turn provides the opportunity for larger bucks on the property. I will hunt public land so I can take any size. There is a saying, "if it's brown it's down" ie if it is a deer they are taking it. Brown is down policy doesn't help for big buck growth.
