Driven Boar - what Sling ?

Going driven pig shooting at the end of the month and i would like to get a Sling for my Mauser that i can use across the front of my body while waiting for the action. Has anybody got any recommendations for a suitable purchase ?

Make sure you take a folding chair with you, the simple X frame fishing type is perfect, you'll have plenty of sitting around to do when things are quiet. As for the sling, I take the sling off once I've been placed on my peg, one less thing to get in the way of your swing when the boar turn up. If you're sat down just have the rifle across your lap, when stood up have it in your hands ready to shoot.

I'm telling Captain - from the Wee'est of men.

I'm with tjwaines. Dump the sling when you are at your peg.

Never had the money to go doar hunting but from what I have been told an easily carried seat is a good idea .
sounds like a better way to spend than a sling Point taken
