    6.5x55 Ackley Improved

Sadly I find myself in the unenviable position of having to ‘rationalise’ my gun cabinet due to the Wife having brain surgery and her having to give up work, so up for grabs is my beloved 6.5 Ack Imp.
Built on a Tikka M695 action.
Border 5R cut rifled stainless barrel in ‘lightweight varmint’ profile, 24”.
Screw cut ½” UNF with invisible thread protector.
McMillan Sako varmint stock in light grey/dark grey/black McSwirly.
Newlon Precision custom dies cut with the same reamer as the rifle so matching the chamber.
    Leupold mounts.
    3 Round metal magazine
80 Norma brass all fire-formed and ready to go, including any rounds I have made up.
    Load data.
Shoots Berger 130grn VLD in clover leaf groups.
All work done by Gavin at Anglo Custom Rifle earlier this year.
    Round count is precisely 186
The stock was damaged by the proof house but Gavin repaired it and it is now virtually unidentifiable.
This rifle is my pride and joy and has been lovingly cared for. I owned the original rifle that the action was taken from.

I’ve had a think about the price and think I’ve got it right. All in for…
    £1350

Scope, rings, bipod, bear tooth not included

Sorry I can’t help with the sale of the rifle, but you have my sympathy with the wife, my own had to undergo brain surgery 3 years ago, she is fine at the minute, I hope it all goes well with for you.

    Best regards

    Kev

Thanks for the kind words gents. It's nothing life threatening but it's really knocked the stuffing out of her and was enough to put her on her arse for the the next 12 months +.

    hi Dan.

I think reading this, Newlon Precision custom dies cut with the same reamer as the rifle so matching the chamber. the dies here have been built for this rifle and will be no good to you as they are specific to the rifle.

i may be wrong but i doubt he will sell them seperately.

Thanks Bob, yes you are correct. Dan the dies match the rifle as Bob suggests. You're going to struggle on the die front, even if you get redding to make them they will need some fire formed cases from your chamber.I would however sell you them for £1350 and chuck the rifle in for free
