    Climate change

I'm a big fan of Johnny Ball and have always been a climate change sceptic, take 11 minutes out of your evening and watch this.

    Cheers

Climate change is a politically driven crock of ca4p.
Perfectly natural cyclical warming and cooling of the Earth. We just happen to coming to the end of the last cooling period which will continue for the next 100 years or so.

I am firmly in the sceptic camp on this. Until recently we had a wind turbine factory here on the Isle of Wight, guess how they got their electricity - from the grid and not "free" electric from their own turbines, I think that this tell its' own story about all this enviromental nonsense that we are bombarded with.

I am quite happy to invite and escort anyone from the site to the Met Office to have a look into what the "Climate Scientists" have been finding out.

In the mean time have a look here and don't shoot the messenger!!

To my mind the climate is dynamic and constantly fluctuating and if anything the short period of time in which the data has been collated in illustrates, within the context of ice ages and the age of the dinosaurs, how remarkably stable things are now. Incidentally there seems to be a large conjectural element to the met office site.

Have to agree with Tim, pure conjecture by the met office.
If we do see a 4 degree rise in temperature it is the worse case scenario, if they hadnt seen a dramatic effect at 4 degrees increase you can guarantee the politicians would have asked 'well what does it show at 5 degrees' until the desired effect was observed. This is purely a 'what can we tax them on now' change in climate.

I remember in 2000 'the greens' predicted that by 2010, 10 million people would be displaced by melting polar ice caps and rising sea levels. To date, not one person has had to move - since the sea level hasn't risen. I find it hard to beleive that 0.039% of the earths atmosphere can have such a great effect on temperature !

I see to remember in 'recent' earth history an ice age some 10,000 years ago and a mini ice age a couple of hundred years ago where the Thames froze over every year for many many years. The best bit was the medieval warm period where the uk had far warmer weather that modern records have recorded. Humans didn't invent climate change, nature did. C02 is a joke, plant more trees if you want to regulate carbon better doh
