.243 reloading

Hi people! Anybody used hornady 95gr sst's?? Having a little trouble finding the right load combo with them. Thinking of going back to 100gr soft points! Anybody any advice?

Thanks,

Adam.

Adam. I struggled with them too and gave up in Spring 2009. I only tried loads with RL-19, I might try H4350 or N560 if I was trying again now. Regards JCS

care to offer us a little more information i.e. what is your barrels twist ratio and what is the bullets actual length? The issue could by gyroscope stability.

Hello Adam, I have a 30.06 and was trying to work up a load with H4350 on 165gr sst's. The groups were not great. I got some H414, shortened the col and bingo. Three shot group at 100 mtrs intersecting holes. Hope this helps.

Hi Adam, I load 95grns noslers and Bergers and both love 42gns of h4350 in my tikka t3, hope this helps pal

ive been using 38.7 grains of N140 for 100 grain bullets both in round nose and spbt excellent groups sub inch, although my tikka likes hornady ammunition and there brass

Many .243Win have 1-10 twist and work better with bullets under 100gn.
Never tried Hornady SST's but 44.5gns Vit. N160 worked well with Nosler 95gn BT in my rifle.
1/8" - 1/4" MOA @ 100yds.
