    which partition weight

need to order some Partitions for the aught six, and wondering if any 30-06 members with a standard 1:10 barrel can recommend the 165g or 180g on the basis of experience. will be for reds primarily.

For the last two years I've been using Nosler 180 grainers in my '06, 1:10 twist, 600mm, 4 Groove bbl at about a 2750 fps MV, zeroed for 200yds... and I don't plan changing to anything else (for deer or heavier) anytime soon. Very accurate and very consistent at the business end.

You can never go wrong with 180's in a 30-06. It's about the perfect do-all bullet weight in my opinion.~Muir

I used to use the 30-06 almost exclusively with 165 Partitions. It is an excellent bullet for reds. I have killed numerous red hinds up to 300lbs. Although most have been killed with my 7x57 W/150 Parts, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the 165 in the 30-06. capt david
