    Boning Knives

    Just watched the BDS DVDs on gralloching and butchering and I am raring to go! They recommend flexible boning knives, i think i spotted a victorinox? what do you lads recommend please?

    The Victorinox knives are fine although I would not go with one that is too flexible.

    victorinox are the best larder knives. They take a good edge and keep it.

    6" Larder Knife thats what i use for Red/Roe

    i got a set of these earlier in the year and imho they are ok for general use and will do a red easily

    i baught one of these and a butchering knife two years ago and i like it not sure how it compares to others in price but it does hold an edge well atb,wayne

    Forgive blowing own trumpet.

    I like the Mora Larder knife ( avoiding boner puns ) we stock - that's why we stock it! Had a look at Scobies and thought I was buying from the wrong wholesaler until added in Vat and carriage! Phew! Also do Mora scabbard to fit.

    We have sold a fair few to SD members, so hopefully someone will pick up with 'unbiased' opinion.
