    hi guys

i know the only way to be 100% sure of velocity is to use a cyrno but i dont have one yet .

but could anybody tell me the rough velocity of this load below

    im loading

    44.5 grains of n150

going though a 20" browning xbolt barrel.

Which calibre? The BC of the Hornady .308 150gr SST (#30302) is listed as 0.415 and the .270 150gr SST (#27402) is listed as 0.525
So all you need to do to estimate velocity is shoot with 100 yard zero at 100 and 200 yards (or further), measure the drop and then look up the ballistic tables for 0.415 or 0.525 BC in the back of a loading manual. Then find the speed which matches the drop that you measured between the two distances.
    Hope that helps

That theory didn't work for me,my 85 gr nos bal tips are doing 3330 fps and match nosler data drops for 3750 fps, they are cock on out to 500yds
