    Foxing ammo 40gr vs 50gr

Currently using norma 50gr vmax in 223 and happy. Thought about trying 40gr, faster, flatter but more susceptable to wind. Do may of you out there use 40gr? perhaps I should stick with what I am used to what do you think?

I use 40gr V Max out of my .223 for foxes Brilliant!

You would think they had been hit with a TRAIN

Your a long time dead, enjoy every day like it's your last!!!

40 Grain Nosler BT's,............. shoot out to 300yds in any conditions, impact from 40yds to 300 yds no exits, pick em up & shake em, they sound like a washing machine on a wool cycle! 24.8 grains N133................................(in a couple of mine)

If I really get bored, I'll use a 69 grain SP, these are pretty good out to,.... well almost into where it gets dark!............. I just have to make sure I have plenty of good quality backstop, & hope no one hears the smack.

I have always used 50gr in my 22250
Then was given some 40gr sierra blitzkings
Soon found a very accurate load for them which chronoed at 4108 fps (very very flat shooting)
I found with the first 10 foxes I shot i had 7 runners where the bullet blew up on contact not entering the lungs.
That and the worry of barrel burning I am now back on 50gr (3780fps)and have no issues with these.
70% of bullets don't exit from the boiler house only the longer shots where the velocity has dropped.(+200m's)
