If its any use I have data for 90grn Berger Target Bullets:- start load 35.5grn velocity 2737 Max load 39.5 grn 2986 fill ratio 89.6% Source:- Walt Berger, Berger Ltd.atb Tim

I used 38.6 grains of Viht 140 with a Sierra 85 grain BTHP Gameking bullet. Very accurate but according to manual near maximum load.

This is from the 1986 Vihtavouri Manual:

243 WINCHESTER
90grain SAKO SP112E - N140 - 36.0grains = 2950fps at 3600 BAR PRESSURE

100grain SAKO SP113E - N140 - 35.0grains = 2690fps at 3600 BAR PRESSURE

Note that ANY CHANGE in ANY COMPONENT WILL AFFECT BOTH PRESSURE AND SAFETY OF ANY LOAD

Mate with Hornady 87gr I am getting great results with 42.8 of n140.

That sounds REALLY hot. Not confusing N140 and N160, are you?
42.5 grains of N140 is what I use with 70 grain bullets in my 243, and that's plenty warm enough (3500 fps). 42.8 grains of N140 with an 87 grain bullet sounds crazy to me.

this is for a 85 grain sierra 85 grain hpbt but would be fine to use with the 85 grain speer bullets.

vit n140

34.1 grains [ 2800 fps]
35.7 grains [ 2900 fps]
37.3 grains [ 3000 fps]

data from sierra infinity. just start low and work up.

this data looks to be about the mark im going to run a few rounds when i can get to the range . i noticed a load that looks to be a bit suspect to me.
