Thread: Free mp3 calls for foxes for SD members.

Free mp3 calls for foxes for SD members.

There has been a lot of talk and questions on the forum recently with regards to making electronic fox callers and where to download sounds to play in them.

Today I have uploaded about 420MB of calls to the rapidshare website for others to download for free and try out in their callers.

All files are in .mp3 format with the exception of the foxpro files which are an .FXP format.

The files are all downloadable free from here:

    https://rapidshare.com/files/1199981...alls.part1.rar

    https://rapidshare.com/files/7091216...alls.part2.rar

    https://rapidshare.com/files/3455945...alls.part3.rar

The files were uploaded using winrar which you will need to open them.

This can be downloaded free from a trusted site here:

fter 40 days this will say it is only an evaluation copy and you have to buy however if you just click close and ignore the buy option it will continue to work for free.

Download all 3 before you open with winrar as they are from one large folder split for downloading.

A number of the files are digital quality with no hiss or back ground noise however some do, you can work out which is which by listening to them. If there is one you like that is not digital quality, you can use this free programme (again from a trusted site) to remove the background noise:

inally, I used the following to build my caller:

    http://www.predatormastersforums.com/homemadeecaller.shtml

There are a lot of American predator forums with different ones should you wish to experiment.

Finally if anyone has any other files that they would like me to add to this lot or knows how to convert .FTP files (or has converted foxpro files) let me know and I will update the file.

I hope that this information is useful.

    Happy shooting

    David

p.s. If you have any luck, post a pic and let us know which call worked for you.

    David,

What a brilliant thread - thank you so much for all your efforts.

Radioshack has a UK website - RadioShack UK - the speaker amplifier is here: RadioShack Mini Amplifier/Speaker - RadioShack UK
and the mono - stereo inline jack here: 3.5mm Mono Socket - 3.5mm Stereo Plug Adaptor - RadioShack UK (for some reason the ref no given doesn't come up, whjeareas the cable ones do).

All for the princely sum of 40 delivered.

Only fly in the ointment is winrar, it is an exe. file so not mac compatible.
The calls I have downloaded ok, but my Mac thinks they are to be opened with Calibre, a program for loading books to a Kindle.
I tried to find winrar for mac, but could not find anything that works.
Can anybody help me, ETR ?

    Neil.

Gladly, I spent an hour or so, downloaded a few things and so far nothing works.

Just downloading the archive, thank you.

As an aside, 7-zip from http://www.7-zip.org/ is a totally free zip mgmt tool, no need to click dialogue boxes or break licence agreements to continue using. And on a Mac, http://www.unrarx.com/ should do the job.

Thinking about it, if you download the files and opem them within 40 days there will be no broken license agreements.
