Hi all
i was wondering, is 19 months too long to wait for a CWD shoulder mount, and is 2 years too long to wait for a springbok shoulder mount, Thoughts on a post card please

Red stag I had done was about 12 - 18 months, can't remember exactly. If their work is good it's worth waiting for - you'll be looking at it on the wall for much longer than you wait for it to be finished!

Six months ish, 19 months and two years for a "normal" non specialist mount i believe is taking the p i ss i would certainly be asking , why? also id be asking if its not started can i have it back and take else where.
i can recommend someone i use down this way an i bet she would turn them round at about 8 months max.

Personaly i would of asked the Taxidermist what sort of time period we are looking at to begin with
As some taxidermists specialise in certain fields and often pass on work to another taxidermist in the field the item is in
No issues with this as you want the best job done regardless of who does it
If a uk taxidermist I expect a 6 month turnaround unless you know they are particularly busy , or they are doing yours at a discount rate
At that rate when ever
If being done from abroad around 24 months is exceptable
The other thing which you did not mention is the name of your taxidermist
As that may make a difference to some of the comments due to inside info
