    Warble infestation

Just wondering if I am the only one to find high to very high warble burdens this year in red hinds and calves?

all but one or two hinds this year have had significant numbers of warble lavea.

Any ideas on how to reduce the burden next year?

    Hi Andy,

I found the opposite this year, fewer parasites in general, less warble and nasal bot fly. No idea why that should be or how to reduce it though. Any other thoughts would be welcome.

Have to agree with Andy on the amount of Warble fly this year, then join you both in your request for help in reducing them ! Is that balanced enough ?

I skinned a hind yesterday without a warble to be seen.

Almost unheard of at this time of year.
There is a place on this planet for all of God's creatures, right next to my tatties and gravy!!!
