    Solid target ammo for 25-06

Anyone any idea where I can source some target ammo for my 25-06 {complete rounds}?

None listed by Hornady - as live rounds, but they do list a 117gr RN bullet - code 2550, RRP 30/100

25-06 IS a GREAT round - just not one that has much of a choice when it comes to non-hunting ammunition!

Hope you can reload, otherwise you are a bit stuck. IF it was my rifle, I'd go down the route of casting bullets & using them with a gas check for cheap paper punching & practice ammo

If more info on other bullets comes to light I will post what I find...

Why solid and not hp? For 25-06 it's reloading to get a good deal long term. You will find that on a per round basis when sending a few down range it's a must.

    bullet 27p
    powder 27p
    primer 4p

complete reload say 60p or there abouts plus time once you have the gear or dies and a reloading buddy. Hp's rip for foxing too

Target shooting - non expanding only.

It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.

    Hi

I tried to give you a quick call. This is one of the downsides of .25-06, but there are some target bullets out there, but no A-Max.

You can see that both these manufacturers favour other sizes of bullets. Regards JCS

When I first started with my 25-06 it was prior to doing my dsc and I only had range use. I could not find any loaded target ammo and had to reload with 100 grain match kings.
