    It's great to meet y'all!

    Hey Guys

Just thought I'd pop in and say a quick 'Hello'

I live in Derbyshire and I love hunting! Deer stalking is a particular passion of mine, one I indulge in 2-3 time a week on average Like many of you I'm sure, rather than a wife, I officially have a 'stalking widow'. I'm very much looking forward to chatting, trading info and sharing my hunting experiences with you guys.

It's great to meet y'all! Good luck and happy hunting!

    Ian

    Hello Ian.

I hope you enjoy the site as much as we enjoy your videos.

You'll probably have realised this, but in case you missed it, there's lots of STRONG opinion voiced here by people who are by varying degrees (VERY, varying degrees) both passionate and knowledgable about deer stalking in particular and countrysport in general.

I'd advise against mentioning such things as:

    Skyline shots and backstops
    Head/Neck shots
    A max bullets
Extreme long range shots (this starts to become an issue at anything from about 200yds up)
The 6.5x55 Swede as the paragon of all deer calibres
Getting a hold of stalking rights through crafty and devious means.
And... those bally Continentals who'll shoot at God's beautiful creatures while they're actually running, the total bounders that they are.

Unless you love an argument that is...

p.s. I nearly forgot a top "lulu"... Don't tell them the fashion for short barrels leads to ballistic compromise, even to the point of unlawfulness, in extremis... that really gets some folk aerated.

    Welcome to the site.
I can speak in-depth and with great knowledge about most subjects until some bugger who actually knows what he is speaking about opens his gob .
