Thread: Bavarian Mountain Hound

    Bavarian Mountain Hound

I would like to introduce myself properly having already been justifiably chastised on another thread for not doing so
I have been stalking for many years and have always got by using my retriever labradors, I have been without a lab for a season or two and I would prefer to get a specialised tracking hound now. I am looking for a well bred working strain Bavarian. Being new to the "tracking dog" scene I don't really know where to start looking.
I see a number of members on here are owners and perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.
    Many thanks in anticipation.

Yes, but the people who run the BMHS know the good from the bad and I am sure steer you in the right direction.
Obviously if you can get hold of somebody who is almost a professional stalker/tracker with pedigreed dogs get hold of him fast but any purchase of a non pedigree is fraud with risk as I have seen quite a few HS/BMS crosses. Not ideal.
