    Scottish Wildcat

A mate of mine has a hobby of trying to capture Scottish Wildcats on film, and has placed several stealth cams in the wilds surrounding Newtonmore. Here are some of the results.

Interesting pics. & good to see.
Way back in 1987/88 I was stalking on high ground not far from Newton Stewart with a friend & we saw a Scottish wildcat. We watched it for a short while until it disappeared back into the trees. I'd never seen one before & haven't seen one since.....even though I and my friends have stalked the same ground for 29 years.

Have seen two a close quarters at two different locations on the Blackisle in the last few years with the spotlight and 1 during daylight on Brahn estate many years ago. Stunning markings on these animals.

Jam, i have seen a few and have a mate that has two and i think what these images are a cross with a domestic but i bet it would rip your hands to bits if you got near enough to pick it up. Pure Wildcats are getting hard to find south of Dunkeld..... nice foties though!!
