    Non lead bullets

OK guys, I am old, not very wised up - but keen - and need to know about "non lead bullets" as mentioned on Forestry Commission sites.
What do they require us to do?
    Looking forward to the answers.
    Thanks.

Having just read through an FCS invitation to tender myself I would take it that they mean... only use bullets without lead in them.

Havent got a clue about Forestry commission etc - But if they are talking about non-lead bullets they are probably refering to the use of alternative metal projectiles to negate any environmental issues from people pumping 100's of grains of lead into their soil.

Have a look at BArnesX bullets they do an all copper bullet. They are not the only producer, there are plenty of non-lead bullet manufacturers but you will notice a cost increase over standard jacketed lead bullets.

Several manufactureres also market green ammo that uses non-lead bullets and even non lead primers - I guess it comes down to two things, what calibre rifle do you use (and does anyone manufacture non-lead bullet rounds for that calibre) or do you reload in which case you can more than likely get non-lead bullets for reloading in most calibre's
