Alternative to a tumbler for cleaning brass

    Chaps.

Do you have a cheap (likely to be lying round the house) method of cleaning brass. I'm not doing many at a time so doesn't need to be highly efficient.

    Cheers

Old powder bottle hot water a little soap powder and teaspoon of vinegar, give it a good shake, it works but you need to rinse and dry the cases, which is a pain.

Jayb was telling me he puts them in the end of his drill a quick spin with the wire wool and bingo !!

How important is it to clean the insides of the cases?
I use a drill and wire wool and then bore brush the inside of the necks but worry that fouling will build up inside the case.

I use an ultrasonic cleaner but then again I put 50 44-40 cases in at a time. Brings then up gleeming. If you have it you can use it to clean other bits a bobs too.

Ultrasonic cleaner at Lidl costing about 20 or so.
Not huge so would be fine for a small number of cases?

Also they still have a few of the digital vernier calliper at around 8 versus 20-50 elsewhere?
