peroxide.. Hmmm

Well i have been looking for some peroxide for the last few weeks and have been into boots looking sheepish at hair dyes. I asked behind the counter and the only thing they had was mouth wash.. hmm, well i googled peroxide and found a chemicals company who sell the stuff.. They had 35% peroxide for sale.. great i thought, that will do the job!

I should have twigged when i opened the box and inside was 2.5lt container which had leaked and melter the polystyrene packing! without thinking i got it all over my hands and they promptly turned white!

Anyways, it faded after a few hours.. I did one roe skull in 3h flat with it, will post pics later but while removing the cotton wool (with 2 pairs of surgical gloves) the peroxide got through the gloves without me knowing... this time my fingers were burning and they again went white..

My fingers have now gone back to normal but are a bit sore.. Just thought i would share my experience to save anyone else the same problem!

PS: its the dogs danglies for doing skulls!! Ive got a few jaw bones ive been saving to do next, as i say pics to follow!

was just thinking that, unfortunately no.. it looks and feels similar to when you burn yourself on an iron, no redness or swelling, just goes white and burns.. when the burning and whiteness stop, it definitely feels like a burn.. which i suppose is obvious as its a chemical burn?

Its better to use marrigolds. Look for hair salon supplies online and try to pass yourself off as a hairdresser as I don't think they are supposed to sell outside the trade. You can get it in cream form and more liquid form. I have been using 40% liquid recently with lots of cotton wool.

I just buy the over the counter stuff from a chemists shop. It's only a quid or so, and, whilst not the mega concentrations of some of the specialist stuff, it does the job, with the added bonus of not destroying the skin on your hands (though my fingers do go a little white)

did you buy it from apcpure? I got 35% HP off them on ebay and it works a TREAT! F*** BOOTS and all their investigative questions over some measly 9% mouthwash! LOL...

yes, have had my hands turned white many times! never bothered with gloves,,,probably should:eek:

Not the wisest of moves. Be honest as to who you are and why you want it. Alarm bells will be ringing as bulk/large purchases of peroxide are "flagged up" as this is one of the main ingredients used in TATP.This is the explosives which were used to devastating effect by those who carried out the London bus and Tube bombings a few years ago.
Why draw negative attention to yourself un-necessarily when you have a legitimate reason for acquiring it in the first place.

It's unfortunate really because there is the hydrogen peroxide bomb stigma but there is also potassium permanganate which is good for restoring the colour to antlers but that too can be used to make explosives!

I recently discovered a friend works in a cheese factory and has access to big 45 gallon drums of hydrogen peroxide so I know where my next batch is coming from :D

Note to spooks: for bleaching purposes only!

Or woollen mills they used to use it to bleach the wool, this is where I used to get it unfortunately nearly all the mills are closed.
