Is the Tikka action the one with two different size dovetails front and back. One wide one narrow? Both tapered front to back?

If so I have a pair of rings/bases here. No size marked on them no height either but the bottom of the body tube to dovetail is 12mm.

Narrow grooved ring has some windage adjustment in base as well. Bases are steel rings an alloy by the feel of them of a Apel type profile.

Acquired them some time back and still not sure what they fit.

    hi BH,

these are the same width front and rear, i got the 222 590 and it came with no bases/rings, so to save cash ill use the dovetail on the 590 action rather then more money on bases etc.

thank you for the offer but it seems they are not the ones i need,

    thank you

    bob.

    Bob,

You're after two tube diameters - and say 'high'?

I have a set of original blued steel Tikka mounts stamped 'TIKKA' and '25.4mm' (1") - Part No. 612404 - listed in their catalogue for max. obj. 56mm.

Tikka 17mm parallel dovetail - crossbolt fitting. Base of mount to centre tube 40mm.

A few of the slotted top section ring screws have gone missing, but the remainder look like they're standard pitch Weaver-type grubscrews.

Bought them some time ago, but changed them for a lower set. I'm not into stargazing so use low power fixed scopes. Your post prompted me to unearth them, so now I've got them out they're definitely surplus.

I see that you're a man who's into bargains. You can have these for 30 + Postage . PM me if interested.
If I'm going to be accused of it then it's just as well I did it.
