Thread: Gun Show today.

    Gun Show today.

Had a pretty good show today. I bought a steel rifle rest, an L.E. Wilson case trimmer, a Lee Classic Loader in 45-70, an RCBS powder pan for my 505 scale, and a Lyman .429" cast bullet sizer. All for $35 US. The gunshows in this area have high priced guns, but some of the accessories can be had cheaply.~Muir

It's the Billings Gun Collectors Assn show in Billings, Montana.

Some things I regret passing on:
    5 (x 100) boxes of Hornady 175 grain RN for the 7mm for $70.

6 boxes of Speer Grand Slam 140 grain 7mm bullets for $90

A set of 8x68 dies for $45 that came with an original box of Winchester ammunition.

A RCBS match powder measure for $70 still in the box. (Dont need it, just a good buy)

A Lee Enfield .303, No 1 MkIII dated 1915 that had someone had shortened the wood on for $125.

An Ohaus 10-10 scale for $50. Old but superb. Like new.

There will be other shows.... or I could run the 60 miles out there this morning.~Muir

    ...which I did.
I bought the Ohaus scale for $30 and two boxes of the 175 grain 7mm's for $20. Sometimes it pays to get to the Show as they are closing up. I passed on the power measure, which, remarkably, was still there. The Speers were long gone. Picked up a 308 adapter for the Wilson trimmer as well.~Muir

What a good day out you had well worth the trip.

Thanks, yes. It's really the next town west of me so I can almost make the drive in my sleep. (Provided it's not blizzarding!) I'm back there tonight as well for domestics: shopping and socializing.

Some gunshows here are a bust. When our own JAYB was visiting a while back we drove 145 miles to a gun show in Buffalo, Wyoming so he could see a US gunshow. It was a miserable little affair with four tables and very disinterested sellers. A poor example of the usual shows we have.~Muir

I just hope there is one on if we come over in the fall.
    You did well there Muir.

I'm off to the Tulsa show at the end of the month and I'm really looking forward to it. The big problem is the difficulties in bring guns back to the UK.
