    Self made high seat

Well we finally got our free standing High seat finished and we decided to go and put it out to let the beasts get used to it for a few weeks before we use it.

We are fully covered with snow up here in the north east as is most of the country just now. The wood in which we put the seat is in parts 3ft of snow so the Quad was needed to pull in the small trailer.

The place we decided to put the seat is a cross road for the Deer. In the snow we could see latterly hundreds of slots.

Here are a few pics of the high seat and the surroundings.

Could not have done it without the trusty Honda

    Veiw out in front

    Veiw to the left

    Veiw to the right.

And finally a couple of my wee Teckle pup "stig"

All we need now is a couple of orders for seats and it will be sorted

You mentioned getting the beasts used to the seat.

When we were putting one of our high seats out in September it took three of us to carry it to position (being a bit less technical and far more over built than yours) amid much talking and clanking of steelwork.

A few hours later we went out for a sit on the new ground and being last in line I ended up in the new seat. Not thinking there was any chance of anything I was prepared for a good nap but only was there half an hour when a small buck appeared - and was rapidly despatched.

On a related topic (sitting out in the snow) - I have been looking for a set of non-noisy and not too warm bracer over trousers for the winter. I have a Remington set with my jacket but they rustle a lot and bring on quite a sweat with even the slightest movement. Any ideas?
