    Advice re light/torch

    Because I can only get to my stalking ground once a month i've taken to rabbiting/ratting to keep my eye in. I've got the least powerful clulite torch. Anyone got a preference on what would be a good torch for upto about 200m illumination

    cheers

    I use a torch from global rifles
    The sniper systems torch

    Snipersystems Gun Lights

    Clamps nicely onto the scope with very little messing
    I use the 600 lumens one
    But they do a smaller 400 lumens which is quite cheap
    Mine fits in nicely with my lamping set up
    Where I use a cluson for initial search and then switch to the scope mounted for accurate ID and quick focus as some times you can't quite see what your lamp man is shining on

    Can also be used with out the aid of the cluson

    Guys,

    Have a look on ebay before you part with the sort of money charged by Global Rifle Systems. The torches are the same as those available from Ebay sellers based in Hong Kong and China. I've had a few from these sources and they're spot on. Don't worry about rip offs. I've received everything I've ordered from several different sellers.

    If you're going to use it for lamping make sure you get a single phase one that just switches on and off. Some go through a sequence of full power, mid power, low power and flash. This is a pain.

    I got the following;

    The clamp on the above is useless, but you can pick a good one up for very little;

    These torches are the same kit that others are charging over a hundred quid for.

    Cheers,

    Bob

    Got to say if you're thinking about spending the sort of money the Snipersystems are going for, I'd have a Tiablo A10-G in the blink of an eye - or perhaps an ND3.

    I certainly got a good deal for my sniper systems torch
    I could of bought 3 and still would of had change for the price of an ND3

    I bought 2 of these torches from China, they are exactly the same as the Snipersystems, one has a white beam, one has a red beam, cost me 19 each delivered, who's kidding who.
