Zeroing

Taffs, the .243 is a 250m+ deer rifle. Having it sighted to allow you to maximise / utilise the potential range via a PBR approach makes sense if there is a chance you may want to use it. If not don't change anything.

I'm in line with others on here. I zero high so that I don't have to 'Hold Over' when on the hill.
In open hill country it is often difficult to guage accurately the range of quarry & so zeroing high allows a margin.
My zero is 1.5" high at 100yds...(should be zero at 150yds) so if the deer is further, then perhaps a small hold over.
Cheers.

My zero is 1.5" high at 100yds...(should be zero at 150yds) .
what calibre?
unless low velocity with heavy bullet most calibres firing factory or similar loads at +1.5" at 100 are normally closer to 0" (zero) at 200+yds
not a huge difference but it would make your 4" MPBR out past 250yds instead of under or near 200yds.
