Thread: wildcat predator 8 strip down

    wildcat predator 8 strip down

    I've looked on the wildcat website but can't find any info on how to strip down the mod. i can unsure the baffle assembly but can't get the individual baffles out? Is it even possible?

    i have stripped it this far! Should i be able to unscrew the end with the arrow pointing to it? It has a checkered surface around it so it looks like it can be gripped to unscrew it?

    There is a joint between those knurled rings. The rear one is the mount with the thread in and the front is the baffle stack.









    Now you will need some silicon grease, I didn't have any to hand to use Abbey air gun grease ment of springs and seals and it seems to work fine. If not stripped and greased on a fairly regular basis the Mode sticks together and can be a right cow to get apart.

    Yes, the collars unscrew at each end

    Yes that is the inner tube which goes over the barrel so the gases never reach the outside of the barrel. It's shown removed in my photos.

    Many thanks gents. i have the outer mod in the garage as we speak applying wd40 to the joins to try and soak into the threads.

    If you have a vice wrap some cardboard around the knurled bit and clamp in the vice, then twist the other end and one end or the other should undo. Then the other end should push out. They have o-rings around them and can be quite tight to push out.
