243 100gr sierra spt pro hunter

    Hi chaps,

Looking for some info. I'm looking to work up a load for my 243 with a 100gr bullet. I have some sierra 100gr SPT pro-hunter bullets, but looking in my loading manuals they don't list this bullet. Powder wise I have vhit n160 n150 and n140. Can anyone find anything listed or have experience on this bullet.

    Cheers
    Simon

I like the bullet, but can't help you with a load as I don't use vhit powder.

My load 100gr pro hunter 37 grains Hodgdon's H380 Remington magnum primers.

    Hi JCS,

I read your reply whilest eating my breakfast this morning, and could not quite get what you were suggesting as the SPT in 100gr is not listed in the lapua data, then while driving up the A11 to work playing spot the Muntjacs it came to me; the speer grand slam is the same style bullet (flat bottomed) and the same weight.

So, cheers for the help and thanks to the third muntjac on the left which prompted me to the answer.

    Many thanks
    Simon
