    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!. Stuck stock. st

Good morning all, your help on this matter would be gratefully appreciated.
Having purchased a laminate stock, and spending ages inletting the thing, I progressed onto the bedding with Accuglass. All instructions followed, but cannot separate the wood from the metal.
Tried tapping wood and metal work with soft mallet, and pulling apart with as much force as I feel comfortable with. The thing is stuck fast.
    Many thanks for any replies.
    Neil

Make sure the screws are out, then put in the freezer for a good while, then take it out and give a sharp whack with the rubber mallet. In future just make sure you apply plenty of realease agent...clear shoe polish is brill!!!

Tapping hardly does it. Remove all the screws. Place a rolled up blanket/towel on a hard counter and swing the barrel down onto it with a sharp, short stroke. Should break free.~Muir

Screws removed, so purely held on compound. Been in the freezer all night, so once the misses goes to work the fun will commence.

PS if in the future, you need to put a gun in the freezer, and you have to take out the ice cube collector to make room. Remember to turn off the ice cube making machine. Just off to literally dig out my gun.
