    Hi there,

This contract is not for Deer per se, it's for any animals, anywhere.

Mike do DEFRA cover Central Scotland i don't think so this being the case your post is misleading at least.

    Hi David,

The post is not misleading as far as I'm concerned.

" ......We advertised our search for operators last year, and am pleased to announce that we have now engaged Live Capture Operators in most of the areas required, however we are still seeking qualified operators to cover Cumbria and Northumberland."

What is the cost of training and qualification? What is the cost of required equipment? and in say central Scotland how much work would you expect to be available.

QUOTE (We are pleased to announce recently securing a three year contract with DEFRA to supply marksmen and dart gun operators.)
    Then you mention Scotland

    Hi Gazza,

We charge 575.00 for the three day training. The equipment - if you don't have your own - will cost between 850 - 2100.

As far as the volume of work is concerned, it's difficult to say. But I know if you are in a cattle/horse area then there is scope for development of your own business via the Vet network, and the agricultural/animal health agencies.

    Regards,

    Mike.
