    remote switch winch wiring

I've bought a remote switch to operate the winch on my van.
Apparently it needs to be wired via a solenoid. Are there any auto electricians on here that can point me in the right direction of what goes where!

Your winch has a solenoid in the control pack. When you wire in the new switch, just remove the cover and wire it into the back of the plug that the remote plugs into. That way it runs via the solenoid, and you can still use the remote if you wish.
It is best to fit a battery isolating switch also, just incase some interested party presses the new switch to see what happens!
