Thread: Muntjac Gold Medal

    Thumbs up Muntjac Gold Medal

Seen in the last BASC mag that the Gold Medal Muntjac i had measured by them at the gamefair came in 6th best for the year, well pleased.

Now i need to have a chat with a Local Farmer to see if he will let me manage the Deer on his land, as on Saturday i saw the biggest Muntjac Buck with a massive Head on him. The main beams were thicker/longer than i've even seen in pictures and also had good tines.

I took a pic with my phone but hard to see, i will take my Camara this Saturday to see if i can catch up with him again and get a better shot (with the camara) of him.

You need to zoom in on him in the pic below to try and get an idea of the size of the head

Not disputing your ability to shoot Muntys but if you look where his nose and eyes are then he's not even looking at the camera. He seems to be looking at the base of the tree. Also the ends of the antlers curve inward which would be very unusual for ears.
