    Lyman Dies - first use

Just bought some new Lyman dies. The instructions say that they are coated in a protective oil/substance that should be cleaned off before first use - Any recommendations or just give them a good swishing and soaking in meths for an hour or two to clean them off?

    Mel,
You can wash the protective coat with any solvent I usually use Hoppes no9 meths would be fine.
