    Anyone Use A Blaser K95?

I was up in Tain yesterday and in seeing Gregor at McLeods.

My mate and I were looking at a stunning wee rifle he has there, a Blaser K95 single shot with the hexagonal barrel.

Now I have nothing against the straight pull Blasers (other than the price), although they are not really my thing. However, this single shot rifle was simply stunning. It was in .243 and would make a fantastic woodland stalking rifle for roe.

Cost was not surprising to be honest, around £4,000. If I had it spare I would have bought it in a heartbeat but would have been fighting off my mate.

Anyone on here use one? In what calibre and what is the accuracy and the recoil like?

I've got one in 6.5x57r fantastic little rifle very accurate and sweet to shoot.

I got a friend to call in and test shoot it before I travelled down to look at it, he shot a 100m 1/2 group with factory ammo. When I went to collect it I test fired it first and done the same.

Very pleased with my toy, I've shot it in anger three times and got a Roe, Fallow and Muntjac

I've had mine for 8 years now......& I think? the first one that Gregor imported. Came via Beechwood back than.
    It's just BRILLIANT! Mine's .25-06Rem & I can shoot 1/4" MOA @ 100yds.
He was a big help deciding the accessories to have and with the wood up-grade too. It has a Hex. barrel and is mag-na-ported, butt stock magazine & monogrammed pistol grip cap. Zeiss 8x56 'scope.
The rifle is lightweight & comfortable to carry on the hill and I've shot all six species both sexes with it.

For some reason I find these svette single shots attractive indeed although I would need a more normal shaped cheek piece. Those Bavarian ones just don't do it for me.

I have an R8 pro but would love a K95 if I had the cash.

You'll be thrilled to bits when it arrives & you get to play with it.....enjoy the wait and smile when you open the box.

Incidentally, I now see that Blaser appear to offer a Hexagonal barrel as an option for the K95 Stutzen, but not for the other K95 models?? making the rifle at McLeod's an even more interesting proposition.

Gregor did say that the hexagonal barrel was now finished. I think he said they were costing too much to produce so it being offered as adoption would make sense as it really sets the rifle off and would be worth paying the extra for...
