    In the past, you would hunt for the best buck, and then the genetics were gone. Or you would let it go so it would breed in hopes no one else would see it. Now, you can hunt the best buck, and still pass on the genetics. Its a win-win.

    This service is available in the UK from Inovis, based at Ledbury near Malvern (and also with premises in Edinburgh).
    Semen can be recovered up to 24 hours after death (assuming death by accident or injury, not disease or drugs) from valuable farm livestock, so presumably the same would be possibly from deer.

    Im not a bad stalker but i dont fancy my chances of getting close enough to a doe to AI it! Now theres a new sport! (sounds a bit wrong!!) I did say ARTIFICALLY!

    would have made more sense to leave a 4yr old buck like that to continue doing it himself......
