Avon "skin so soft" but it HAS to be the one in the blue bottle with "original" on it

I don't have a lot of confidence in the various potions and find that a head net is the only really reliable solution but...

Recently I've been playing with a product called Smidge and it certainly stops the midges biting and others seem to be having the same good results with it. However, my experience is that it still doesn't stop the midges buzzing around you or crawling over you so if this bugs you then it might not be for you. Worth a try though.

The one I've found works very well is 3M 'ultrathon'. It's 33% or so DEET. I've had no problems with plastic melting etc and I can say the ones I have were obtained a good while before I ever saw it available in shops in the UK.

Avon Skin So Soft simply does not work for me at all.

I have stalked and fished in some really bad areas for midges in Scotland and cannot see past Mossi Guard.

I find that sudocrem or savlon normally helps but i never get bitten that often. I just take my mate with me and they attack him instead... honestly. Different people are prone to bites more than others it seems.
