Thread: I did it! I walked away!

I did it! I walked away!

I was in the city last night and wandered over to the used gun rack at one of the sports outfitters. There was a Weatherby Vanguard, synthetic, 300 Winchester Magnum in absolutely new condition for $279! A spring special.

I was so proud of myself. I looked at it, sighed and placed it back in the rack knowing some other hunter -one who HADN'T FORGOTTEN TO BRING HIS CHECKBOOK TO TOWN WITH HIM- would appreciate it more than I.

    Yup. I did well.~Muir

(I think I need some time to be by myself now.)

    No. I didn't rush back.

I've torn my desk apart, and my filing cabinet, and looked under the seat of my Jeep but I still can't find the darned thing....

I wonder if it's in the laundry room?~Muir

    $279!!!! For a rifle!!!!

The costs in this country are just ridiculous...

I was looking at a motorbike magazine (dreaming) the other day and they had an article on the Suzuki GSX750R from the mid 80's. I owned one back then as a young lad although don't have a clue how I managed to afford the insurance. Anyway, they made mention of the cost of fuel then. 1.27 a gallon. Works out in todays money about 3.70 apparantly. Don't you just love the taxes we pay...

Muir, it has been said before, but you guys are spoiled over there!!!!!

Would your recent visitor have tidied it away, or is it laying beside the road somewhere in Yellowstone, just trying to help you understand
