    First Reds

I have never seen any Reds on my farm, that is until I was top dressing my spring barley yesterday, when this couple of bad boys popped out. I apologise for the photo quality. I took them on my phone, hanging out of the the tractor door whilst trying to stay within the tramlines.

The pictures do not do them justice. At first I thought my neighbours bullocks had got out. The first one was a whopper. Alas I seriously doubt that they will still be here come the season. I live in hope.

It's so wet down here I always split it with three doses. This was the last 30 units , should have gone on a fortnight ago but been far to wet.

We have got a few red hinds moving around the Black Mountain and I can see North Devon from Tair Carn Isaf on a clear day! Stick a couple of water wings on those big guys point them straight across the bristol channel - good for the gean pool.
